Events

We meet for our regular cross-country ski lessons every Sunday afternoon thoughout the ski season, January thru March. The location is pre-determined, although on occasion we may change venues due to ski or weather conditions. An email will be sent to club members each Saturday evening to verify the location, weather and ski conditions, and to provide the group with notice of cancellation, when necessary. The Club’s temperature cut-off for cancellation is minus 20 degrees Celcius (including windchill).

Special Events

In addition to our regular cross-country ski lessons, we also have several special events. The first of these is our Fall Pot Luck on Saturday, October 15, at 6:00 PM. This is an event where we meet and greet new and prospective members, and take care of the club’s early season business.

Other events include a biatholon evening for the older kids at Canada Olympic Park; a club weekend in Radium Hotsprings and participation in the Nipika Loppet (a fun, cross-country ski race for all ages); skiing the Goat Creek trail in Banff; and a wrap-up BBQ.
